Real World Games: Be Mario, PacManhattan
Wired has an article about another "jump like in a video game" project:
They are currently in open beta, so if you are in the New York area you can sign up to try it. Looks like fun!
PacManhattan is a project to play PacMan in the real world, running around city streets with position-sensing equipment.
(Both of these games come from NYU's Big Games lecture class)
The Nintendo Amusement Park is a project by three New York University students who want to create a life-size obstacle course based on Super Mario Bros. that lets players strap into a bungee system to jump 12 feet in the air, smash Goombas, collect coins and snag magic mushrooms, just like in the classic video game.
